Lake of Bays Community Centre and the Baysville Branch Library

Mayor Terry Glover recently joined Josie Barter and four other graduating students from the Township of Lake of Bays to celebrate their award of $1,900 each through the newly established Lake of Bays Community Education Bursary.
Carol Street in Baysville has reopened. A section of Carol Street, between address marker 7 and 11, was briefly closed on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The barge dock at Savage Den (1757 Port Cunnington Rd) will be closed for emergency repairs starting Monday, July 14, 2025, due to damage. The dock is expected to reopen by the end of the week.
The Township of Lake of Bays wishes to advise the community that work has been completed to clear a significantly damaged hedge at Gristmill Park in Baysville. The hedge between Gristmill Park and the Robertson parkette in Baysville sustained a lot of damage over the winter months, including from the ice storm in Spring 2025.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays will be considering proposed amendments to the User Fees & Charges By-law at the regularly scheduled meeting held on July 29, 2025, for the following departments:
(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) On June 10, 2025, in celebration and recognition of Seniors Month, Mayor Terry Glover and Councilor Jacqueline Godard presented the Ontario Senior of the Year Award to Linda Lacroix of Lake of Bays.
(Huntsville/Lake of Bays) (July 7th, 2025) – At approximately 12:21 p.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at a retirement residence on Legacy Lane in Huntsville. Crews from Station 1 Huntsville, Station 3 Hillside, and Station 5 Port Sydney responded with five trucks and 15 firefighters. Huntsville OPP and Muskoka Paramedic Services also attended the scene to provide support.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council (Planning Matters) of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays will be considering adopting a by-law to provide for cash-in-lieu of off-street parking spaces in accordance with Section 40 of the Planning Act at the July 29, 2025 Council (Planning Matters) meeting, commencing at 9:00am.
