Flood Warning in Effect With Freezing Rain Expected this Weekend
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has issued a Flood Warning for the area. Flooding is anticipated to varying degrees as a significant three-day rainfall, freezing rain, snow pellets and snow event moves through the area.
With freezing rain expected this weekend and the potential for power outages and icy conditions, now is a good time to check your emergency preparedness.

The Township of Lake of Bays has prepared a Draft Economic Development Strategy for review and comments from Council and the public. As part of National Hospice Palliative Care Week, the Township of Lake of Bays raised the flag of Hospice Huntsville, which will fly from May 5th to May 11th, 2024. Councillors and township staff joined representatives from Hospice Huntsville to honour the dedicated teams providing hospice palliative care in our area and across Canada.
Please be advised the reduced load limits of 5 tonnes per axle (maximum) on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Township of Lake of Bays have been lifted and reduced load limits are no longer in effect.
