Waterfront Study

The Dorset Waterfront Plan and Downtown Study provides a long-term vision for the waterfront and downtown area in the hamlet of Dorset.

Overview

The study has considered both public (Lake of Bays and Algonquin Highlands) and private assets to identify opportunities to better promote economic development, tourism and job creation in Dorset. Recommendations and potential land use concepts presented in this report are conceptual in nature and are not intended to place any burden (financial or otherwise) on the various stakeholders, partners or other authorities having jurisdiction that have been identified.

The study was received by the Township of Lake of Bays Council on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, and was received by the Township of Algonquin Highlands Council on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
