A Message from Mayor Glover

Welcome to Lake of Bays, with over 100 lakes to explore we offer a quality of life that is only surpassed by the natural environmental beauty of its vistas and picturesque scenic views. A township built on a strong volunteer culture where our most important resource is our people. We are unique, friendly, and pride ourselves on charm and a real small town zest for life.

Lake of Bays is a recreational play land driven by seasonal residents and tourism. We feature a thriving united group of four hamlets situated three hours from the GTA and bordered by Huntsville, Bracebridge and Algonquin Park.

With four seasons of excitement try scenic drive tours by bicycle, automobile or motorcycle. There are recreational activities from sport fishing and boating to hiking and heritage walking tours. Our lakes and trails offer snowmobile and ATV entertainment featuring an abundance of wildlife on the doorsteps of one of our many family owned resorts.

Lake of Bays hosts a strong artists’ community and tiny shops supported by craft culinarians from a brewery to small batch farmers producing honey, heritage vegetables and more.

Our economy is built on a foundation of small family operated businesses that provide the personal touch and an extensive variety of services to satisfy visitors from all over the world.

Stop in for a visit, stay a week, or move on in.

On behalf of Council and Staff of Lake of Bays I extend a warm welcome to everyone and invite you to experience hospitality and friendly service at its best.
