(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) The Township of Lake of Bays is inviting residents and visitors to attend and participate in one of two virtual open houses and surveys.

(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is issuing a warning to residents regarding a recent phone scam targeting our community. Scammers have been posing as representatives of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department, attempting to deceive residents into making donations for wildfire efforts.

The Special Air Quality Statement continues for the Lake of Bays area. High levels of air pollution are present due to smoke from forest fires in Quebec and northeastern Ontario.

(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) On June 6th, 2023, in celebration of Seniors Month, The Township of Lake of Bays’ Council presented the Ontario Senior of the Year Award to local resident Caroline Konarzewski.

Please note: A Special Air Quality Statement has been issued for the area by Environment Canada and the Province of Ontario. Parts of Lake of Bays are experiencing poor air quality and reduced visibility due to smoke from forest fires in Ontario and Quebec.

The Lake of Bays Community Centre renovation project, Operation Facelift, has received a generous donation of $710 from the Baysville Exercise Group.

(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) The Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department is excited to launch the Baysville Get Alarmed Program, a community-wide fire safety initiative, made possible through a generous donation of 300 hardwired First Alert smoke alarms from the Baysville Curling & Bocce Club.

(Muskoka, ON) The District of Muskoka, in partnership with the Town of Bracebridge, Township of Georgian Bay, Town of Gravenhurst, Town of Huntsville, Township of Lake of Bays and Township of Muskoka Lakes, is developing a Regional Workforce Strategy.
