The District of Muskoka Declared Significant Weather Event
The District has declared a Significant Weather Event for all District roads throughout Muskoka effective immediately. The declaration is due to a Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada that forecasts a major ice storm that will impact road maintenance operations across the District. Significant ice accretion (buildup) is expected over the course of the weekend.
During this Significant Weather Event, residents are advised to avoid all unnecessary travel on District roads, until further notice.
