Please note: A Special Air Quality Statement has been issued for the area by Environment Canada and the Province of Ontario. Parts of Lake of Bays are experiencing poor air quality and reduced visibility due to smoke from forest fires in Ontario and Quebec.

The poor air quality conditions are expected to extend into Tuesday June 5, 2023, for some regions. It's crucial to note that air quality and visibility can vary significantly over short distances and fluctuate from hour to hour due to the wildfire smoke.

At-Risk Population - Individuals with pre-existing lung or respiratory conditions, older adults, children, pregnant women, and outdoor workers are advised to consider minimizing or rescheduling strenuous activities outdoors if they are experiencing any symptoms.

General Population - If you do not experience any symptoms like coughing or throat irritation, there is no need to modify your regular outdoor activities.
