Roads License Agreement Public Meeting Summary and Next Steps

Township staff and Council sincerely thank everyone who participated in our September 9, 2024, public meeting concerning the Roads License Agreement Program. The total viewership was 181 people, comprising 68 in physical attendance, 50 via Zoom, and 63 watching the livestream. Staff received 27 written comment submissions, and 26 people spoke at the meeting.

Some of the key themes from the comments and concerns raised by the public regarding this program included a lack of transparency, poor communication, unfair financial burdens, distrust and confusion regarding the program, and a need for broader public engagement. We acknowledge the significance of these concerns and their impact on our community.

Next Steps:

Council and staff are thoroughly reviewing all feedback and concerns raised. We are committed to evaluating the program comprehensively and exploring potential solutions. Our goal is to address these issues effectively and transparently before the end of the moratorium, which is set to be concluded at the February 11, 2025, Council Meeting.
