Ice Storm Update
Following the recent ice storm that impacted much of the region, cleanup efforts in the Township of Lake of Bays are continuing. Township facilities remain open. Residents are urged to continue using caution as cleanup efforts progress.
Road users in the Township can report trees blocking roadways and other road-related issues in the Township of Lake of Bays through the Report It form. Trees affecting power lines should be reported directly to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235. Stay clear of any fallen power lines. If you spot a fallen line, keep at least 10 metres back, even if it does not appear to be live.
Hydro One crews continue to work alongside contractors to restore power to customers. Crews have restored power to more than 358,000 customers since the start of the storm.
Hydro One anticipates it will take several days to restore all customers.
The Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays is requesting tenders for the supply and placement of aggregates.
