Lake of Bays Council to Declare Good Deeds Day in Honour of Local Hockey Team

At the December 10th Council Meeting, members of the Huntsville Sting U13-Black hockey team were celebrated for their outstanding achievements. The team, which calls the Lake of Bays Arena in Baysville their home ice, joined Council for a special photo unveiling. The photo of the team, commemorating their victory earlier this year in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup, will be proudly displayed at the arena.

Earlier this year, the Huntsville Sting U13-Black completed 1,358 good deeds in their community, earning a national win in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup and securing $100,000 for Food4Kids Muskoka.

To further honour the team’s accomplishment and inspire others to engage in acts of kindness, Mayor Terry Glover proposed the creation of a "Good Deeds Day" in Lake of Bays. Council unanimously approved the initiative, and the details, including the date, will be decided at a future Council meeting.
