Flag Raising Honouring National Hospice Palliative Care Week

As part of National Palliative Care Week, May 4-10, 2025, the Township of Lake of Bays has raised the
flag of Hospice Huntsville. Hospice Huntsville provides quality care and support to individuals and their
families in the Huntsville area who are seeking end-of-life care.

Council and staff wish to express their gratitude to Hospice Huntsville for the dedicated work they do and
the support they offer to our community.

The theme this year is “Palliative Care Is For You”. “Palliative care can help more people than you might
think! Palliative care can help people with serious illnesses, regardless of their prognosis. It can support
caregivers and families who are caring for a loved one with a serious illness. It can also support those
who are grieving and living with loss.” - Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.

The 16th Annual Hike for Hospice Huntsville took place on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
