Ice Storm Update
Following the recent ice storm that impacted much of the region, cleanup efforts in the Township of Lake of Bays are continuing. Township facilities remain open. Residents are urged to continue using caution as cleanup efforts progress.
The District of Muskoka declared a State of Emergency in response to the severe ice storm that swept through the District, causing widespread power outages, downed trees and hydro lines, and hazardous road conditions. They encourage residents to stay informed through official channels and to check in on neighbours who may need assistance.
As cleanup continues and restoration efforts are underway, the District has made a devoted page for the Spring Ice Storm response where residents can be informed about any changes or impacts to District-run programs and services.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department has postponed the Baysville Canada Day Fireworks event, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 1st, due to current fire safety concerns. The event will be rescheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5th.
